4th Grade

Vanessa Roxberg is the 4th grade teacher at Assumption School. 4th grade is full of fantastic learning and growing opportunities. While math, science and reading are practiced every day, there is lots of fun to go along with all the education. The 4th graders get to experience outdoor learning with Earth Day activities, reading, and geology lessons. Kids get hands on learning with field trips to the Mississippi Headwaters and Hartley Nature Center. Mrs. Roxberg encourages independence, confidence and teamwork while creating a great atmosphere for learning.  

Some of the other exciting 4th grade activities include:  

• Publishing a book – The 4th graders work with a publishing company who helps them go through each step of publishing a book.  
• Build-A-Business – Students fill out job applications, apply for loans, and build a business with their “coworkers” (classmates).  
• Starbucks Café – Kids learn through play with this interactive lesson.  
• Cereal Box Biographies and Book reports.
